Terrafirma coach John Cardel believes the Dyip are poised for a breakthrough conference starting in the Commissioner's Cup when the PBA Season 48 begins on November 5.
Armed with a number of rookies, led by top overall pick Stephen Holt, Terrafirma is working its tail off under Cardel while Belgian import Thomas DeThaey has been adjusting well into the system two weeks before the start of the new season.'The rookies are doing well so far, and I'm really impressed by Carino, who played really well against Ginebra, providing the rebounding, defense, setting screen to his teammates, and shooting well from the perimeter.
He is not ball-dominant and does the little things like setting the screen for his teammates, getting those rebounds, and playing hard on defense. We are really blessed with our import,' he said.Listed at 6-8, the former North Carolina State alum, went undrafted in the NBA in 2013 but went on to play in Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Romania, and just recently, Uruguay.Cardel said he's also thankful for veteran guard Alex Cabagnot for his contributions to the team.
