The free car seat safety clinic will be held at the Rath-Eastlink Community Centre parking lot on Nov. 20. - ContributedTRURO, N.S. — A free car seat safety clinic will be held in the parking lot of the Rath-Eastlink Community Centre on Sunday, Nov. 20 from noon to 3 p.m.

This clinic is meant to help parents understand what car seat is right for their child, whether they are expecting a new family member or believe their child is ready for the next step. Car seat technicians will be available on-site to advise parents on car seat installation and use to optimize the child’s safety while aboard.

The clinic is being in held partnership with Maggie’s Place Colchester, the Mi’kmaw Family Healing Centre and the RECC. Inspections can be booked in advance by calling Maggie’s Place at 902-895-0200. They will also be accepting walk-ins. Appointments will take up to 45 minutes for each car seat.
