ILOILO CITY – The province of Capiz is under a state of calamity due to a dengue outbreak.

The Capiz Provincial Health Office recorded 1,783 dengue cases and five deaths from January 1 to August 17. Nolasco noted that 120 barangays have clustering of dengue cases. These areas have three or more cases for four consecutive weeks.
