Despite the difficult journey to a medal, Morrison is confident in her team's ability to compete with some of the favourites to win gold at the games. The Dominion product will be the lone Cape Breton player on the province's women's hockey team at the Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island this month.
"I didn't know what things were going to look like for hockey at the time but it was in the back of my mind," said Morrison, noting she's confident in her game and is ready to compete against some of the best in the country.
