Mary’s Polish Church in Whitney Pier will host a sunrise commemoration on Friday on the solemn occasion of the 84th anniversary of the invasion of Poland and the start of the Second World War.At the end of the gathering, the Polish flag will be raised for the first day of 2023 Nova Scotia Polish Heritage Month which will include activities on most days in September.The doves are being provided by the Pier Community Funeral Home.
