Cape Breton teams playing in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League and U-18 Major Hockey League all suffered losses in Saturday games. STOCK PHOTOSYDNEY, N.S. — Four Cape Breton hockey players will take to the ice on Tuesday to kick off the Atlantic University Sport women's hockey best-of-three playoff series.

The No. 3 seed Saint Mary's Huskies will play the No. 6 seed Moncton Aigles Bleus in their quarterfinal series. Game 1 will be played in Halifax on Tuesday at 7 p.m. while Game 2 is slated for Thursday at 7 p.m. in Moncton. Game 3, if necessary, will be played at 7 p.m. on Saturday in Halifax. The Huskies roster includes Glace Bay's Aimee O'Neill, Eskasoni's Erin Denny, and Sydney's Maddy Corbett.

Meanwhile, the No. 4 seed Prince Edward Island Panthers will face the No. 5 seed Dalhousie Tigers . Game 1 is Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Charlottetown, while Game 2 is Friday at 7 p.m. in Halifax. Game 3, if needed, will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Charlottetown.The New Brunswick Reds and St. Francis Xavier X-Women have byes into the semifinal series.
