BACOLOD CITY – The city government of Canlaon in Negros Oriental has implemented a liquor ban and curfew for minors beginning Thursday, September 12, due to increased activity from Kanlaon Volcano.
Mayor Jose Chubasco Cardenas issued Executive Order No. 67 requiring all business establishments within the city to close by 10 p.m. in compliance with the curfew.
Cardenas said that minors are prohibited in public areas after 10 p.m. unless accompanied by a guardian or for emergency purposes. Face masks must be worn at all times when outside homes, particularly in areas with high pedestrian traffic or where ventilation may be limited.
