Salter developed through the CF Montreal Academy, has played for ASPTT Dijon Under-19 and Ligue 1 Lens Under-19 in France and in the NCAA with California State University. “It’s great to see Canadian clubs engaging in transfers as the value of players who have proven their abilities in this league increases,” Atlético CEO Fernando Lopez said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to welcome Samuel to the club and look forward to seeing him in action.”
