The Americans had some answers from the foul line but a Brooks layup and a dagger top of the key trey from Barrett sealed the podium for the Canadians. The Canadians, however, had to earn their very first medal in the World Cup against the Americans, who, despite playing with only nine players, refused to go down in the dying seconds of the final frame.
