Johnson's 13-point performance in the final 2:24 helped the Nets snap a three-game losing streak and extended Toronto's losing streak to six games. Toronto had held a 10-point lead in the third quarter. Ben Simmons and Shake Milton each added 12 points for Brooklyn, while Noah Clowney contributed 11 points.

Ochai Agbaji led the Raptors with 20 points, with Gradey Dick and Scottie Barnes adding 19 and 16 points respectively. The Nets finished the first quarter with a 6-0 run to tie the game at 24. Brooklyn's Nic Claxton was ejected in the second quarter for throwing the ball into the crowd after being fouled. He finished with seven points and five rebounds. Barnes gave Toronto a two-point lead, but Johnson's 6-footer and 3-pointer put Brooklyn ahead 93-90. Johnson sealed the win with two free throws and Dorian Finney-Smith made a critical block in the final seconds. RJ Barrett and Jakob Poeltl did not play for Toronto due to illness and groin injury respectively
