The Public Safety and Transportation Management Department (PSTMD) of the Caloocan City government conducted clearing operations at the Simon Flea

Various divisions of the PSTMD including its Special Task Force Disiplina , Traffic Management Division South, and Special Operations Group District I-B participated in clearing the said areas of sidewalk obstructions, illegal market vendors, and traffic violators.

City Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan commended the PSTMD for the successful conduct of the clearing ops and noted the positive effects of the program in the safety and traffic management initiatives of the city.“Maraming salamat po sa PSTMD sa patuloy na pagsunod sa ating direktiba na linisin ang ating mga kalsada at mga eskinita.

Malapitan also called on his constituents to support the efforts of the PSTMD by taking the initiative to follow rules, instill discipline, and maintain cleanliness in their local communities. “Ilaan po natin palagi ang mga bangketa para sa mga kababayan nating naglalakad. Huwag na po nating hintayin na mayroon tayong makitang maaksidente pa dahil sa mga nakaharang na kagamitan o sasakyan sa dapat na daanan ng mga pedestrian,” the local chief executive stated.

Aside from the clearing ops, the STFD of the PSTMD is also tasked to enforce the strict implementation of the Single-Ticketing System in Caloocan City.

Somebody said the quiet part out loudSomebody said the quiet part out loudAN interesting and mildly amusing story from Inside Climate News that appeared in my feed at the end of the week was about a hearing before the Public Service Commission in far-off Arizona last month, on the subject of an electricity rate hike petition filed by Arizona Public Service (APS). Despite its institutional-sounding name, APS is a private-sector corporation. A Public Service Commission, since that may be a completely unknown term to many here, is a regulatory body established in many states, provinces and countries that are part of the 21st century.
