Sky News host Cory Bernardi says people should care that 70 per cent of fish consumed in Australia is imported.
“The quality of what you put into your mouth will actually affect your body and your health over the long term”, Mr Bernardi said.
“But secondly, fishing is a major industry in this country and we should support our local fishers by buying their products. “I consider food security to be just as important as our energy and national defence. If we lose the local participants in our seafood industry, we lose part of our security. “It’s time that the federal government introduced country of origin labelling laws for the seafood that’s sold in our pubs and our restaurants and fish and chip shops – that way we can all make an informed choice about what we consume and we can make a patriotic one about supporting local industry too.”

Lori Lightfoot blaming loss on her ‘race and gender’Outgoing Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is blaming her failed re-election bid on her race and her gender, according to Daily Caller White House correspondent Diana Glebova. Ms Lightfoot lost her re-election bid after failing to garner enough votes to make a run-off election. Ms Glebova said the Mayor’s administration has always either downplayed the city’s sky-rocketing crime rates or claimed it was false. “Whereas her opponents, the ones that are advancing, had a more concrete plan about crime,” she told Sky News host James Morrow.

‘Awaiting your apology’: Paul Barry ‘gone quiet’ after discrediting COVID lab leak theoryThe ABC's Paul Barry has still not apologised for using taxpayer resources to attack Sky News host Sharri Markson and discredit the COVID-19 lab leak theory, Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton says. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Christopher Wray claimed the deadly virus “most likely” came from a lab in Wuhan as the agency continues its ongoing investigation into the origins of COVID-19. The ABC host had previously targeted Ms Markson and the COVID-19 lab leak theory in four different Media Watch episodes. “Paul Barry may now have gone quiet, but we remember this statement he gave The Australian: ‘If the Wuhan lab proves to be the source of the COVID-19 outbreak, we will certainly update our viewers and apologise to Ms Markson for our criticism’,” Mr Houghton said. “Well, Paul Barry we are awaiting your apology.”
