Cache of NPA firearms seized in Igbaras, Iloilo through former rebels’ tip

TROOPS from the 61st Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army recovered a cache of high-powered firearms and ammunition belonging to the Communist Terrorist Group or New People's Army in Barangay Bagay, Igbaras, Iloilo at around 2:24 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.The operation was conducted after two former rebels who surrendered to the 61IB in 2024 provided the location of the hidden weapons.
