BYD to use NVIDIA for self-driving tech in upcoming vehicles. BYD NVIDIA CarGuidePH
BYD, the world’s second-largest electric vehicle maker, announced that it’s building its next-generation vehicles using the NVIDIA Drive Hyperion architecture. This platform, based on Drive Orin, is now in production, and is powering at least 25 EV makers building software-defined vehicles on high-performance, energy-efficient computing technology.
The Ocean-X rides on BYD’s e-platform 3.0 which aims to lead electric vehicles particularly in safety and low-temperature driving range. The new architecture is also destined to result in safer, more efficient EVs particularly when it comes to packaging. BYD says it fully integrates the proprietary blade batteries into the car body.
