The motorcycle was headed south on Douglas Road at about 6:10 a.m. when it collided with the car heading east on Laurel Street. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Crash investigators are looking into circumstances leading to the fatal collision, but impairment doesn’t appear to be a factor. Anyone who saw the crash or who has dash-cam footage in the area of Laurel and Douglas between 5:50 and 6:30 a.m. is asked to call Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999.
