According to Castro, the issue is further complicated by lack of verification from official government agencies, highlighting the dangers of spreading misinformation as experts point out that fake news can have serious consequences, cause fear, anger, and can lead to damaging the reputation of individuals, communities and even the entire province of Bulacan.'This is not just a simple issue of being irresponsible on social media,' said Castro.
