OCTA Research group earlier urged the government to raise the alert level classification of Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, and Laguna which it classified as moderate risk for COVID-19.Based on latest OCTA data, the infection rates in Metro Manila and the four neighboring provinces are already at critical levels.The health department on Jan. 3 reported 4,084 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the country’s total caseload to 2,855,819. Of these, 0.9 percent or 24,992 are active or currently sick.
