BuCor spokesperson tests COVID-19 positive
The BuCor said in a statement that its Public Information Office chief disclosed this himself after receiving the test results of the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction test that was conducted on him.“He has since been quarantined with mild symptoms,” it assured.
With this, the BuCor advised “all personnel and staff who might have had interaction with him since last week to visit the Directorate for Health Sevices for assessment and swab testing.” “This is also to inform other stakeholders, partners from the media and NGOs who might have been exposed to seek immediate medical advice,” it added.
Aside from Chaclag, BuCor Director General Gerald Bantag also underwent RT-PCR tests after two of his close-in staff tested positive for COVID-19.
