MANILA, Philippines — Jin of K-Pop boy group BTS is set to be one of the torchbearers for the 2024 Paris Olympics, South-Korean media outlet reports on Tuesday.
Prior to the opening ceremony on July 26, Jin will become one of more than 11,000 individuals who will be carrying the flame across the nation for the next 11 weeks.The K-Pop superstar is expected to fly over to France soon, with details yet to be disclosed by his management, Big Hit Music. Jin 's agency assured the public that they will provide further updates 'as soon as it is ready.
The Olympic torch relay is anticipated to draw about notable participants beside Jin such as the former Ivorian soccer player Didier Drogba and former French American basketball star Tony Parker; also included are other individuals such as French citizens and a Filipina named Marie De Ocampo.
