THE Bureau of Treasury on Tuesday fully-awarded P35 billion worth of fresh 10-year Treasury bonds as rates, the National Treasurer said, were within acceptable range.
The last time the Treasury fully awarded a T-bond auction was in September for its 7-year P35-billion worth of government security. In comparison, the yield during Tuesday’s auction was higher than the rates fetched during the September 13 auction of 10-year P35-billion worth of T-bonds by the Treasury.
The Philippine government aims to raise P200 billion from auctioning-off debt papers this month. The amount covers P60-billion worth of Treasury bills and P140-billion worth of Treasury bonds to be auctioned off.
