MANILA, Philippines — In her very first stint in the Premier Volleyball League, Brooke Van Sickle shone the brightest, winning the 2024 All-Filipino Conference Most Valuable Player award.
The Petro Gazz superstar poured it on in every statistical category, cracking the top 10 in spiking, blocking, serving, digging, and receiving while also leading the league in total points scored with 293 points on 242 attacks, 29 rejections, and 22 aces. Van Sickle , a Filipino-American outside spiker from Hawaii, topped the service department with 0.42 aces per set, ranking fourth in spiking and fourth in blocking .
Pangs Panaga of Creamline and Maddie Madayag of Choco Mucho are this conference's Best Middle Blockers after going 1-2 in their position in denials with a 0.69 and 0.50 average per set.This is Panaga's sixth award in the position and Madayag's second.Aiza Pontillas of the Angels nabbed the Best Opposite Spiker award, her first individual recognition in five years, after making 122 points, good for 13th in the league.
