A Melbourne woman’s rideshare journey to a friend’s party quickly turned into a terrifying trip when she says her driver began making lewd comments and sexual propositions. 7NEWS
“I asked if I could sit in the front because it was going to be a fairly long ride and I didn’t want to be rude,” she said.But the conversation took a darker turn when Brittany joked about how grateful she was the driver did not cancel on her.“That’s when it gradually started to get worse.”
The driver then went on to ask if she enjoyed his hobbies such as camping and asked her out to coffee.“He was listing all the stuff he wanted to do with me like we’ll go for a swim in the lake, then smoke shisha and then go into the tent and have sex - and he kept saying that.” Thinking quickly, Brittany gave the driver her phone number with the last digit wrong and pretended it was ringing when he called to check before bolting out of the car.
