Starting February 13th, the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) mobile app will no longer offer the 'load e-wallet' feature for users of GCash and Maya. While this feature is being discontinued, BPI customers can still load their e-wallet accounts through the 'transfer to other banks' option within the BPI app. However, this method will incur a P25 transfer fee, higher than the previous P10 convenience charge.

In an advisory to its customers, BPI said it is pulling out the “load e-wallet” feature for GCash and Maya users.

However, customers may still load their e-wallet accounts through the BPI app’s “transfer to other banks” feature. Users will be charged a P25 transfer fee, higher than the P10 convenience charge for BPI to GCash transfers under the “load e-wallet” feature.
