A video published on social media over the weekend appears to show the security guard speaking to a patron outside the Landmark hotel in Palmerston before grabbing him around the neck and pushing him into a wall.On Monday afternoon police issued a statement saying a 36-year-old crowd controller had been arrested.The 29-year-old victim was treated in hospital for facial injuries after the incident, which police said happened in the early hours of Saturday morning.
