The Bureau of Customs (BOC) is set to launch on Monday, June 17, its Modernized Information Systems that seek to promote “transparency” and “ease of doing business” in the agency.
The BOC, the government’s second biggest revenue earner, announced it will give an overview of the components of the new systems during the launch to be held at Rizal Park Hotel in Manila.
The project includes a systematic and modernized operation through the use of new computer system in all ports nationwide. The others are Document Tracking System, and the Office of the Commissioner Dashboard and Alert Order Monitoring System. “These will ensure simplified and accessible customs processes and services that will cater to the demands of the stakeholders and the public,” BOC said.
