Over a million sold so far
One can say that a BMW is an aspirational brand for many. The sales figures for the first half of the year seem to reflect that as the German automaker is currently leading its market.
Per BMW, the brand grew by 2.3% compared to the previous year's period. Oh, and that’s not even including sales from other BMW Group brands, Mini and Rolls Royce. In you include those marques, the total tally is 1,213,359 vehicles. With BMW ahead of Mercedes-Benz and Audi, we reckon good times going on in Munich at the moment.
But what’s more surprising is the fact that BMW posted double-digit growth in the electric vehicle segment. The company’s EV sales surged by a whopping 34% with close to 180,000 battery-powered BMWs finding new homes during the first half of 2024.Over to the BMW M division, it also enjoyed growth during the same time period. M was able to shift 99,517 units, and the company is expecting even more this year.
