Blu Girls to use Indonesia tourney as final tune-up for Asian Games

Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (Asaphil) president Jean Henri Lhuillier recently organized a grand send-off party for the Philippine women's softball team that will compete in back-to-back tournaments.

The Cebuana Lhuillier-backed Blu Girls are now in Indonesia for the 2023 Makassar Open International Men's and Women's Softball Tournament which is part of the team's preparations for the 19th Asian Games to be held in Shaoxing, China from September 26 to October 2, 2023.

'The tournament will expose them to the different playing styles and strategies of other countries while sharpening their own skills to be utilized in future tournaments,' said Lhuillier, who expressed his unwavering support for the team.'These athletes have shown incredible passion and commitment, and we are beyond proud to be a part of their journey. We believe that with the right training and exposure, the girls can achieve greatness in the Asian Games 2023.
