The Quiapo Church provides guidelines for devotees participating in the annual Traslacion of the Black Nazarene, outlining prohibited and permitted items and behaviors.

The Quiapo Church leadership reminds devotees of the Black Nazarene about the regulations for the procession or traslacion of the Black image of the Lord Jesus Christ this January. During a press conference on Friday, feast adviser Alex Irasga shared the following dos and don'ts for the procession: Do not climb on the andas or the carriage carrying the Black Nazarene . Do not push other devotees. Do not carry many belongings.

If you carry a bag, choose a transparent one for easy inspection or scrutiny. Eat before the traslacion begins to have enough energy throughout the procession. Do not use umbrellas, caps, or hoodies. Do not set up camping tents, tables, or other picnic items, especially for overnight stays. Do not bring tumblers. If you bring water, put it in a transparent container. Do not bring drone cameras, professional cameras, and selfie sticks. Do not bring portable appliances such as stoves or cooking utensils. Do not bring large bags. Do not bring alcohol or intoxicating beverages. Do not bring food sticks. Do not bring pets. Devotees are allowed to throw their handkerchiefs to wipe the Black Nazarene's image. Be careful and orderly when pulling the rope connected to the andas. Maintain sanctity during the Mass and avoid creating anything that will distract attention. Maintain cleanliness at the Quiapo Church and Quirino Grandstand. Devotees should throw their trash in the trash cans. If you are sick, stay on the side of the road. As part of the annual Black Nazarene feast on January 9, the 400-year-old image is being translocated from Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church
