The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) has strongly condemned the ruthless killing of Jail Senior Inspector Robert Barquez the assistant jail warden of the Quezon City Jail Annex.
Reports revealed that Barquez was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen in Parañaque City Thursday morning.
On orders of BJMP head Chief Superintendent Allan Iral, BJMP spokesman Chief Inspector Xavier Solda said the BJMP will cooperate with the investigation being conducted by the police. Led by Iral, the BJMP has condoled with Barquez’s family as full support within the bureau has been guaranteed to achieve justice at the soonest time possible.
Barquez was driving his Mitsubishi Expander along Doña Soledad Avenue in Barangay Don Bosco when two men on board a motorcycle approached and shot him at around 11 a.m.The police is now conducting a thorough investigation on the killing as a manhunt operation for the suspects is now being done.
