MANILA, Philippines — Binibining Pilipinas crowned Myrna Esguerra of Abra as Bb. Pilipinas International and Jasmin Bungay of Pampanga as Bb. Pilipinas Globe during the grand coronation night on Sunday, July 7, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
The event marked the 60th anniversary of the longest-running national pageant, organized by Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. . This year's event was historic, with over 100 crowned queens since 1964 reuniting on stage.
During the Q&A portion, the ladies were asked questions by the panel of judges revolving around their personal experiences, advocacies, and visions for the country's pageantry as it continues to make names and empower women worldwide.Esguerra was asked, 'If a time machine brings you back to 1964, 60 years ago when Binibining Pilipinas began...
