A big-time price hike for liquified petroleum gas looms, the LPG Marketers Association told The Manila Times on Sunday.
President Arnel Ty said that the cost of cooking gas may increase by as much as P9.50/kg. or P104.5 per cylinder.The price adjustment will take effect next month.The Department of Energy earlier said that the global contract price of LPG rose by $40 per metric ton in December to $650 per MT from $610 per MT in the previous month.Ty said that the contract price continues to increase.
