“Vibe,” the song by Big Bang member Taeyang featuring BTS’ Jimin, has debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Billboard has released the latest Hot 100 chart dated Jan. 28, which is based on “all-genre U.S. streaming , radio airplay and sales data.”
According to Billboard, “Vibe,” released on Jan. 13, has debuted at No. 76 on the latest Hot 100 chart.The latest Billboard Global Excl. US chart Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” is No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart this week.“Vibe” also debuted at No. 9 on Billboard Global Excl. US chart “with 40.2 million streams and 22,000 sold outside the U.S.”
“Taeyang achieves his first solo entry on the ranking, having appeared as a soloist on Billboard surveys since 2010, while the group in which he broke through, Big Bang, debuted and peaked at No. 3 last April with ‘Still Life,’” Billboard reported.“The Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by Luminate.
It added, “Chart ranks are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer sites excluded from the charts’ calculations.”
