Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion said that the patient is a custodian at the hospital.
The mayor said that the patient’s relatives were also housed in a quarantine facility upon learning that she tested positive. On Saturday, Legacion penned a letter to President Rodrigo Duterte explaining that the city, which then had three active cases, was still at risk of the spread of COVID-19. “Moreover, when ECQ is lifted over Naga City, the regional center of commerce, education, and culture, it is expected that people from other municipalities and provinces in Bicol will come to our city, increasing further the risk of having a resurgence of COVID-19 outbreak in the city in particular and in Bicol in general,” he said in the letter.
