Bianca Umali called her commitment to convert to her boyfriend Ruru Madrid’s religion a “personal decision.”On Thursday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the Sparkle star recalled she became an Iglesia ni Cristo in the third year of their relationship, which she also called a “blessing year.”“Actually, hindi alam ni Ruru. Hindi po alam ng family niya.
Bianca recalled receiving her “calling:” She was driving when a ray of sunlight appeared.“I felt the calling na siguro ‘yung relasyon ko sa Ama ang kailangan kong iregalo sa ‘kin at ‘yun ‘yung walang kahit na sino ang makakakuha sa akin nun,” she said.“And so nagpatala po ako, and then hanggang sa malapit na po akong mabautismohan at nag-aral ako, dun po nalaman ni Ruru,” the actress said.Bianca and Ruru are set to celebrate their sixth anniversary next month.
