Bureau of Immigration officers have arrested a Senegalese for allegedly possessing a fake passport and a border arrival stamp.
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco said the 37-year-old foreigner was apprehended when he showed up early this month at the the immigration office to extend his tourist visa. The BI chief said the bureau's forensic documents laboratory confirmed that his travel papers were counterfeit. "Foreign nationals using fake travel papers can easily be caught as our personnel are experts in detecting such fraud," Tansingco said.related stories
