Bureau of Immigration (BI) agents at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) thwarted the attempt of a blacklisted Chinese national to return to the country using counterfeit entry visa. ManilaBulletin

Lin Jingxiong, aged 30, arrived at the airport on a Cebu Pacific flight from Singapore, but was apprehended after discovering his blacklisted status in the BI records.

During the initial inspection, Lin presented a Philippine visa, which subsequent verification by the BI's forensic documents laboratory conclusively determined that it was fake. BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco commended the immigration officers for their expertise in forensic document analysis, which played a crucial role in uncovering the fraudulent visa.
