QUEZON City Mayor Joy Belmonte has received the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award in recognition of her dedication and commitment as a public servant.
In a simple awarding ceremony, the Civil Service Commission conferred the award to Belmonte as the regional winner and semifinalist in the national level, the city's Public Affairs and Information Service Department said.Quezon City City Mayor Joy Belmonte .Photo from Quezon City Government Facebook pageThe mayor received that award accompanied by her father, former mayor and House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte .
The CSC-NCR said that Belmonte was selected for her exemplary work ethic and professionalism that serve as a shining example and reflective of her passion to make a difference in the community, especially with regard to the green and environmental initiatives she spearheaded.
