The Canadian national behind the vlog “Becoming Filipino” is one step closer to becoming a Filipino citizen.
This, after the House of Representatives unanimously passed on third and final reading House Bill No.7185, or the prpposed Act granting Filipino citizenship to Kyle Jennermann.
It was only last Feb. 1 when HB No.1764–which was the initial filing of the measure–was approved by the House Committee on Justice. Jennermann, clad in a traditional Barong Tagalog, attended the hearing. “Through his vlogs, he has created and published thousands of video content showcasing his real-life interactions and connections with the Filipino people and their culture all throughout his eight years of immersive travel across [80] out of the [81] provinces,” Alonte further said of Jennermann, who goes by the Filipino nickname of “Kulas”.Jennermann faces the House Committee on Justice
