Bayan Muna party-list Representative Carlos Isagani Zarate slammed the Duterte administration for its P200 monthly subsidy for poor families amid the oil price hikes, saying that the P1.33 per individual aid was an insult to Filipinos.
"Nakakainsulto ito dahil papatak lang ito ng P6.66 kada araw kada pamilya, o, P1.33 kada araw kada tao lang ito. Hindi lang ito walang silbi, malaking insulto pa ito sa mamamayan nating pinipiga ng pilit sa mga bayaring buwis," he added. "Subukan kaya nilang mabuhay sa isang linggo gamit ang P537 minimum wage at idagdag pa nila 'yung P1.33 ayuda kada araw na gusto nilang ibigay, tignan natin kung kayanin nila lalo pa na buong pamilya ang bubuhayin mo sa ganung halaga lamang," Zarate said.
