A P200-M ILLION automated waste sorting facility in Batangas City is expected to enhance the province's recyclable waste processing capacity.Launched by the Macaraig Group of Companies on Tuesday, the new material recovery facility covers a 20,000-square meter property in Barangay San Jose Sico.
The facility will house a waste segregation machine to efficiently process and store compostable and recyclable materials.Macaraig noted that waste sorting was usually done manually in existing MRFs.The automatic municipal waste sorting line will have a capacity of up to 25 tons per hour or 400 tons per day.The new facility was introduced through MGC subsidiaries BlueEnviron Material Recovery Inc and Wastecon Inc.
