This unique style—steampunk art—blends nostalgia for the past with visions of the future, making it both visually captivating and deeply symbolic. Then, in 2011, a local radio interview spotlighted his unique talent for transforming discarded items and various materials into art, quickly propelling him into international television and radio features.
Recently, the Bataan-based artist designed handcrafted trophies for GAWAD MADISKARTE 2024, an annual awards ceremony honoring exceptional Filipina mompreneurs who have excelled in creating impactful home businesses. He added that the intention behind the artwork was to represent these mompreneurs as champions of sustainability, perfectly aligning with this year’s contest theme.
Mallari emphasized that he is in the process of realizing his lifelong dream by establishing the Fort Malasimbo Museum. He envisions this museum as a comprehensive showcase of his artistic journey and a symbol to his dedication to enriching the vibrant Philippine art scene.
