Robert Ace Barbers is no exception.Barbers has refiled his bill known as the proposed “Act instituting the Magna Carta of benefits for the officers and personnel of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency .”
“It is unfortunate that despite the critical role they play, their economic well-being and professional development are afforded little attention,” he noted. By offering a better compensation package and a slew of health benefits, the administration solon hopes that the agency would attract more recruits who will serve the country with dedication and honesty.
These will be achieved through a well-rationalized career development program as well as proper training and schooling to enhance the agents’ knowledge, competence, transparency, respect for human dignity, and commitment to serve.
