Bagyong Jenny, magiging ‘severe tropical storm’

Pinapaalalahan ang publiko sa posibleng mga pagbaha at landslides dahil sa patuloy na pag-ulan bunsod ng paglakas ng bagyong Jenny na inaasahang magi­ging isa nang “severe tropical storm” nga­yong Linggo at maaabot ang typhoon cate­gory sa Lunes o Martes.

Base sa 5pm advisory ng PAGASA ka­hapon, ang sentro ng bagyo ay naitala sa layong 995 kilometro ng silangan ng Cen­tral Luzon taglay ang lakas ng ha­ngin na umaabot sa 65 kilometro bawat oras malapit sa gitna at may pagbugso ng hangin na umaabot sa 80 kilometro bawat oras.

Bagama’t hindi pa direktahang nakakaapekto sa bansa ang bagyo sa ngayon, pero dahil sa proximity ng track forecast nito sa Extreme Northern Luzon ay may malakas na pag-ulan sa Batanes at Babuyan Islands sa Martes o Miyerkules. Paiigtingin naman ng bagyo ang habagat kaya’t makakaranas ng paminsan- minsang pag-ulan sa western portions ng Southern Luzon at Visayas ngayong lingo.
