MANILA, Philippines — The famous Kennon Road in Baguio City was closed on Tuesday due to a landslide and falling rocks as a result of a southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon 'Carina.'Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the order, contained in a memo, would ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and residents in the area and shall 'remain in effect until suspended.
Another area, the Asin-Nangalisan-San Pascual Road at Barangay Tadiangan, Tuba, Benguet, was also not passable because of falling rocks and fallen trees.Villagers at Barangay Camp 4 in Tuba, Benguet, were asked to extend their patience during the clearing operations.'Our concerned offices have standard clearing operation protocols... may we request you to extend your patience on the effect of the road situation at the moment,' the advisory read.
