THE Kordilyera Media Citizen Council (KMCC) will host a summit that will gather media, civil society organizations, and faculty and communications students to tackle pressing issues in this day and age — misinformation, disinformation, and empowering the citizenry through meaningful collaborations.
THE Kordilyera Media Citizen Council will host a summit that will gather media, civil society organizations, and faculty and communications students to tackle pressing issues in this day and age — misinformation, disinformation, and empowering the citizenry through meaningful collaborations.
The summit also aims to raise public awareness about media-citizen councils as a mechanism for redress and resolving conflicts between and among media and those who complain about inaccuracies in news reports via mediation through alternative dispute resolution.Prof. Gary Mariano of De La Salle University will keynote the summit, while KMCC co-chairman, ITP alumna, and Baguio Midland Courier Assistant Editor Lita Jane Cadalig will introduce the KMCC to the participants.
