Dy said even those who have left the administration coalition are welcome to join the newly-minted alliance, citing the President’s unity mission.“He still wants unity. He still wants everyone to be unified under the current administration because the goal of each party is the same: to push progress, to continue the progress of our country. So, I can imagine that the other political parties will still be welcome if they decide to coalesce or align with this new alliance,” he said.
To maintain unity in the coalition in the days ahead, the lawmakers said they expect the alliance leadership to resolve divisive issues, including those they would confront in the fielding of common candidates for the May 2025 elections and in future electoral exercises. “That’s something that was not discussed yet and it’s something I’m sure the leaders of LAKAS and also PFP will discuss in the next meetings to come,” Dy said.
