The city government of Bacoor strengthened its commitment to disaster response during the inauguration of its new Legislative and Disaster Resilience Building at the Bacoor Government Center on Thursday, April 13. ManilaBulletin

The event was led by Cavite 2nd District Rep. Lani Mercado Revilla, Mayor Strike B. Revilla, and Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola.

Also in attendance were Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., Agimat Partylist Rep. Bryan Revilla, Department of National Defense Asec. Hernando Caraig Jr., Department of Social Welfare and Development Asec. Diana Rose S. Cajipe, Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Director Ariel O. Iglesia, and other officials.“We are the catch basin of the province, tayo po ang sumasalo ng tubig baha.

“Ito ay alay natin sa mamayang Bacooreño . We want to be prepared, we want to be resilient, we want to help the national government and the provincial government in times of crisis.” she added.Aside from being the headquarters of the Bacoor Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, the seven-story building will also house the official sessions of the city’s legislative body and other sub-offices of Vice Mayor Bautista Mendiola.
