BACOLOD CITY - The city and the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) unveiled last Monday a marker for the Tindalo tree that President Manuel L. Quezon planted in 1938.

Councilor Ana Marie Palermo and National Commission for Culture and the Arts Chairman Virgilio Almario led the unveiling of the marker at the city plaza during the 141st birth anniversary of the first president of the Philippine Commonwealth. The tree, which Quezon planted during his visit, symbolizes the service and honor of the forefathers who contributed for the development and prosperity of the city.
