An eight-month-old baby girl died while four others were injured in an ambush in Maguindanao del Sur by still unidentified gunmen on Monday night, March 27, police said. ManilaBulletin
Capt. Ramillo Serame, Datu Hoffer municipal police chief, said the mother was carrying the baby in her arms when ambushed together with other family members.
Injured were the baby’s father, Sadam Mamadra Mamasainged, his wife Faira, and two other children, all residents of this town. Serame said the victims were on board a tricycle driven by Sadam and heading home from a nearby mosque when the incident occurred. “As they reached Sitio Bagurot, Barangay Tuayan Mother, unidentified gunmen on board a motorbike opened fire on them at about 7 p.m.,” he said.Serame said a manhunt has been launched against the perpetrators.
