‘Ayam tebuk’ at Banting supermarket not halal, says Islamic authority
JAIS says a supermarket in Banting has been found to be abusing the Malaysian halal logo by displaying one not issued by the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, July 29, 2023.
JAIS director Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad said the matter was determined when the department’s Halal Enforcement Section and the Kuala Langat Municipal Council inspected the supermarket yesterday, after the issue went viral on social media.
